One Thing Every Successful Online Business Has in Place: A Project Management Tool

One of the most important tools for any online business is a project management tool. This is something that all successful entrepreneurs have in place, and it is essential for keeping track of your tasks, deadlines, and progress. In this article, I will discuss the benefits of using a project management tool and how to choose the right one for your business.

There are a lot of project management tools out there, and it can be overwhelming to try to choose the right one. However, there are a few key things to look for that will help you narrow down your options.

First, make sure that the tool is compatible with your operating system. Second, consider how many people will need to use the tool. If you have a team of people working on a project, you will need a tool that can accommodate multiple users.

Finally, think about the features that are important to you. Some project management tools offer more features than others, so it is important to choose one that has the functionality that you need. Once you have considered these factors, you can begin to compare project management tools. 

There are a number of different options available, so it is important to take the time to find one that best suits your needs. With so many different project management tools on the market, it can be difficult to choose the right one. 

I recently did a poll in a group of online business managers (these peeps know their stuff!) and asked what the most effective project management tools were for online business owners. The top three that were recommended were: Trello, Asana, and ClickUp.

They are all different in the features they offer, however with my own experience on all of these platforms throughout the years (I have used all of them and had clients who used them as well), I feel the one that is best for the beginning entrepreneur, who has no team or a very small team could benefit greatly by using Trello.

Trello is simple to use (very small learning curve) and you can create project boards for each area of your business. You can add deadlines, to-do lists, and even assign team members to certain tasks. You can also brain dump processes, projects and ideas using Trello. I think the best part about Trello is that it’s FREE and continues to be free for most of your project management needs!

If you have a larger team or more complex projects, Asana is a good fit because it does offer quite a bit in their FREE version and it is fairly easy to use. Asana does get pricy as you add and expand your team, so price is one thing to keep in mind the more you grow using Asana.

ClickUp is like Asana on steroids, the customizability and options are endless and you have a lot of capabilities. It is more affordable than Asana and pretty cost-effective overall, however the endless options can overwhelm a beginner, so I do recommend being prepared to do some training as ClickUp does have a larger learning curve.

In conclusion, for entrepreneurs who are just starting out and are looking to really streamline processes, manage their business, and stay consistent it is important to have a project management tool. In all my years working with clients, this is the one thing that every successful entrepreneur had in common (project management tool with consistent processes).
