There is No "Ready" Only Right Now

This week on my podcast, Entrepreneur Rescue Mission, I interviewed Rohan Gilkes, my entrepreneurial role model.

It was Rohan's Reddit article that he posted years ago that inspired me to start my first service-based business, a business that I built to a six-figure a year business from scratch, and led me down the path of entrepreneurship.

During our interview he shared his favorite quote by Hugh Laurie (the actor from the show House):

“It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.”

This got me thinking about how so many people are constantly "getting ready to get ready". They keep putting off the life they want to live, because of fear. They put off interviewing for that job promotion, because they don't feel like they are "fully ready".

How many things have you not done, because you are holding yourself back?

There are so many people out there, less qualified and experienced than you, in positions you wish you had, living a life you wish you lived.

Stop "waiting".... Stop "getting ready to get ready".

I want to know, what do you want the next 5 years of your life to look like? In business, in your relationship, in your personal life?

If what you are doing today, right now, is not part of that journey getting you to the next steps where you want to be.... then what can you do differently?
