How I Structure My Workday for Focus, Consistency, and Client Success: My Top Productivity System
Article by: Nancy Evans
Time is one of your most valuable resources… so how you use it matters.
I’m often asked how I manage my day without burning out or dropping the ball. Here’s what my structure looks like and how you can apply it too.
Morning Mindset
Every morning starts off the same: exercise, take out the dogs, breakfast, and a podcast.
It’s my time to get grounded, think creatively, and stay current on what’s working in my space. The combo of movement and learning helps me kickstart my brain before I even open my laptop.
How I Block My Time
I structure my week intentionally so that each day has a focus and my energy is protected.
Monday is my CEO day. I meet with my team, check in on what’s working, what needs to be refined, and what needs to be stopped. It’s a day to work on the business, not in it. Projects, planning, and progress all happen here.
Tuesday is for clients. I start with email and my daily LinkedIn routine, then move into coaching calls and trainings. These are high-output days, so time-blocking is essential.
Wednesday is project day. Typically my Wednesdays are flex days. Right now, we’re in growth mode and building out our Expert Content Society community… so I reserve this day for big, creative, strategic work.
Thursday is our Mastermind day. It’s all about our Expert Authority program: hotseats, Q&A sessions, co-working strategy labs, and trainings to grow together and stay sharp. It’s a day I block out, to be fully focused to be of service for our Expert Authority members who are building and growing their businesses.
Friday is flexible. I treat it as a filler day for anything that needs overflow time or extra attention from earlier in the week.
Handling Interruptions
I don’t check my email all day long… that would destroy my focus.
Instead, my team monitors our support inbox and flags anything urgent. I handle requests based on priority and try to stay disciplined about distractions. I even have a "do not disturb" sign on my office door so Scott knows not to derail my workflow, lol!
Closing the Day
At the end of each day, I jot down anything unfinished so I know what to tackle next. I update ClickUp to mark things complete, and sometimes Vox or email my COO with a quick recap to make sure everyone is up to date. That helps us stay fully in sync and close the loop on communication.
